Adirondack Style Pizza

We first discovered DeCesare’s Pizza in the summer 0f 2010, despite having first set foot in these parts years earlier. We’d often driven by their sign and were always intrigued by how they advertised their pizza “Adirondack Style”. What we discovered was a light and airy crust on their grandma pizzas and a nice thin crust on their round pies. We were back again on the Monday of Memorial Day and were reminded just how delicious their pies are and how they are an art form – unlike anything else you’ve had. We devoured nine pies, among them, a ham and pineapple, the Northern Frontier: barbecue sauce, mozz cheese, sautéed onions and grilled chicken. There was barely room left for the mountainous, Mountaineer: DeCesare’s version of the everything pie: Mozz cheese, sweet Italian sausage, mushrooms, peppers and red onions.

Our group also made quick work of a plateful of lip smacking spicy wings. They weren’t too spicy, and had just the right amount of kick. They come in degrees of heat: mild, medium, hot, wildcat, plain, BBQ or Debbie wings, named after one of the co-owners. We eyeballed the plentiful platefuls of salads being enjoyed by a nearby table. And that’s just a small taste of their extensive menu. What's your favorite pizza or dish at DeCesare's? Tell us in comments.
