It truly is hard to believe Paradox Brewery turned one year old on July 22nd. It has become such a gathering place for the community, where you are sure to bump into a friend or neighbor, it seems like it’s always been there.

A huge congrats goes out to brewery founders Paul Mrocka and his wife Joan, David and Vicky Bruce, Vaughn Clark and his wife Jenn and their team of investors.

You can read the history of how Paradox Brewery came to be here, or by searching Paradox in our website’s search engine. It seems Schroon Laker has chronicled Paradox Brewery’s every move  over the last 12 months. The brewery also gets a nice write-up by sisters Kim and Pam Ladd, who have self-published "Happy Hour in the High Peaks: An Adirondack Bar Guide"  and a companion Happy Hour Trail Passport.

And what would a birthday be without a party?  This Saturday, (July 26, 2014) from 2pm to 7pm, there’s going to be a big shin dig on the grounds of the brewery. There will be food, raffles, amber beverages and live music by a Someone You Can XRay, described as a “rock band with a little of everything,” Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the afternoon.
