Just how long running? Jacob Van Benthuysen, ancestor of the current owners, received the site in the 1700s for Revolutionary War service.

The event is scheduled for 9 am. to 5 pm Saturday and Sunday and will feature the re-opening of the Cave's renovated ice cream stand. You'll need a valid photo identification to prove residence.

Schroon's Spirit Helping Frank and Linda Anauo

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – the Schroon Spirit is alive and well in our very special North Country hamlet.

When it comes to helping those in need, you can count on those living in greater Schroon to come through, time and again.

So this Saturday, June 11, folks are coming out to support Frank and Linda Anauo. Frank has been waging the fight of his life – the enemy: cancer. So Saturday The Timberwolf Pub and a group of local volunteers are working together to help Frank and with a benefit (3 pm – 7pm).

For $10 you get dinner: ziti and meat sauce, salad, French bread, brownies and more. (Takeout is available.)

Get your tickets for various basket raffles with all kinds of swag up for grabs! To make a basket donation, a cash donation, or for more information, call 518-532-9586.
